Stage 8: Chapter 7 Again there are some sub stories for you to clear.
If you couldn't complete the Marietta in the last chapter then it will definitely be available in this one.
Before you return to the Emoto Clinic the second time make sure you save since you can miss the Heat Action on the two guys you fight there, and then save before you go to Bantam.
After the Bantam event save one last time and then go to Stardust and proceed to the second half of Yuya's "Black Thunder" sub story.
This will be one of only times you can get the Jump Kick Heat Action so be be very careful how quickly you kill off the flunkies and how much Heat you have.

Stage 9: Chapter 8 You'll have two missables in this chapter again, but it's very straightforward.
After you complete the Millenium Tower you can head over to Bantam as it finally opened up as a bar in this chapter to get the trophy if you had been buying stuff from each restaraunt as instructed in the previous chapters.
Just make sure you save before entering the Shangrai-la, it's easy to get the missable Heat Action there as you have two floors of leeway on it, but do it as a precaution anyway.

Stage 10: Chapter 9 Just like chapter 8 it's very straightforward as there's only one place you need to go to, there's only one thing you can miss here and it's right at the end of the chapter.

Stage 11: Chapter 10 It's recommended you do the story up until Kaoru calls you to head to her before doing anything else.
There's a brand new chunk of sub stories to do, so clear those out, the proceed with the storyline.

Stage 12: Chapter 11 Now you've entered the newest portion of Soutenbori, Shinseichou.

As previously mentioned in Stage 11 there is a Heat Action here you can do that isn't missable, but if you miss it here it's a pain to try and get it later on in the underground tournament.
During the boss fight at the end of this chapter you'll have to face two tigers, make sure you deal damage fast enough to either of them Or both if you want and they'll sort of lay down on the ground, run up to them and do what it prompts you to.
This is the easiest time to get it as these guys have a bunch more health and room to work with compared to the underground tournament.
Stage 14: Chapters 13 through 15 You will get a good chunk of sub stories in chapter 13, and only one in both 14 and 15.
All these chapters are straightforward and the goal here is to do the sub stories you can then move along to chapter 16 as that's where we can actually get things done.
Keep in mind that random Yakuza will start respawning in chapter 15 and this continues onto 16 indefinitely.
Stage 15: Chapter 16 - Major Cleanup Congratulations on finally reaching chapter 16, this is the point where you will get to finish most of the things that have been put to the wayside or ignored due to having too little money, no random Yakuza spawns, or any number of things.
Start off with taking care of all the Heat Actions possible at this point, Komaki's goons are good for a good chunk of the Essence of Might ones and any that require multiple people on the ground or full health to perform.
After a majority of those have been done you should grind on random Yakuza until "God" Ezawa appears in Kamuro above the gelato shop.
During this do any of the remaining battle trophies you didn't happen to get during the course of the game, even though chances are you already got most of them leading up to this chapter.
Go to the casino in the Ryugujo and get yourself the if you didn't get them at some point during the game, and make sure to stock up on 10 million Yen for the trophy.

Make sure you finally go win a round of Mahjong since you now have money to throw away as Mahjong losses take good chunks out of your wallet.
With all the money gained and a majority of the trophies cleaned up you should now start working on the cabaret girls at SHINE, JEWEL, and PRIME.

This is going to take up a huge chunk of time, look at around 8-10 hours for this portion.
Once you finish this up it's time to move onto all the sub stories you can start and continue with.
If you are following GoggleBoxFairy's playlist then make sure you quickly go to video 117 for the one sub story he missed and then resume at 94.
You may or may not be at MAX level for all your skills yet, either way head towards to theplease refer to the trophy for an overview of what everyone needs for you to fight them.
If you didn't get the Tiger Drop Heat Action from chapter 12 make sure you grind the Beastmaster Tournament here until you can perform it and then go to the acupuncturist in Shinseichou since you need the Komaki Tiger Drop to unlock some people to fight so you can get Komaki to start appearing in the first place.
After this you will need to turn in the "The Martial Arts Youth" sub story in Soutenbori and then go to the acupuncturist in Shinseichou and get the final acupuncture skill since you beat Komaki.
Make sure to check for the list of every skill you can get which should also unlock in the process.
Don't forget Granny White in Shinseichou, you have to start a fight in the parking lot for her action to appear.
The last three would be in the Kanto section and the first one would be in the Kansai section.
Please keep in mind that until you beat Akira Yamaoka four of the ones in Kanto will not be considered complete.
With these criteria filled you can now go fight Akira Yamaoka in the Maximum Grand Prix of the underground tournament.
Once you beat him the Komaki missions that were previously in limbo will now be considered completed and you can finally work on the trophy.
With the Amon clan decimated it's time to move on with the story.
At this point you should only be missing five hidden trophies and the platinum.
On the first Ryuji fight you'll want to make sure you deal enough damage like you did with the other bosses so you can do the boss specific Heat Attack.
Defeat the final boss and make sure to save when it prompts you to The clear save should be a red one as this allows you to carry over everything you got on this run into the EX-HARD run.
Stage 16: The End When you reach the main menu you should see a "Premium New Game" option.
Select that option, choose the red "Clear" save file you created at the end of the game, and choose "EX-HARD" and proceed to rush through the story mode.

A second playthrough should take you about 6-12 hours due to all the unskippable cutscenes.
General Advice Make sure you install the game to HDD to drop the load times down to next to nothing.
They're not that long when not installed, but most of the major loads become five to ten second affairs at best, and fighting enemies only takes about two seconds to load.
You can do this by going to "HDD Install" on the main menu and picking the first option.

There's only like one of these sub stories where you can be "late" for the proper resolution though, the Cabaret girls are up in the air if you have to immediately date them or not.
You'll be going one-by-one with these sub stories anyway so don't be too worried about it.
When it comes to Heat Actions against bosses the general rule of thumb is that you have to deal enough damage in a certain timeframe for them to get stunned so you can get a free finisher.
The timeframe seems very lage and the amount of damage you have to deal to get them stunned doesn't seem too bad, you'll probably get it just from fighting them regularly as long as you're a bit more aggressive than usual.
The stun itself comes either at 85% of the last bar of health, or a slight bit lower than that if you did enough damage to the guy.
The only exception to this is the fight since it happens directly after a QTE.
For your second playthrough you can carry everything over to EX-HARD mode, but you need to keep in mind that if you made any mistakes in any sub story in the previous playthrough you will have to replay the entire game over again doing all the sub stories again on a fresh save since sub stories cannot be redone in a Premium New Game, only ones you haven't done at all can be done on a Premium New Game file.

The quest you're doing to get the item to enter the parlor is not the sub story itself, the sub story comes much later in the game when you visit Osaka again.
If you don't leave the guy at the entrance alone it prevents you from getting the sub story itself because you never meet the guy who gives you the item to enter the parlor in the first place.
After you finish the chapter nothing is missable related to sub stories.
There are some things you should note though as it's poorly communicated to the player even though the guides will help you along with these as well.
Do not attack him normally or use a Heat attack on him, you must pick up the bat and do a normal hit or the sub story is failed.
Heat Action s: While these don't unlock a trophy themselves they are needed to get access to Akira Yamaoka in the underground tournament which lets you complete the Komaki sub stories and is the only way you can fight the Amon Clan.
Do that and when it tells you to press do that as well.
This may or may not be missable, it can still be done if you encounter Majima in the underground tournament but it's very very hard to pull off.
When you're fighting in the cabaret Grand or later on at the two or three battles at Startdust.
You need to go to some railings, grab a guy, and do a Heat Action so Kiryu throws the guy over the railing.
The minimap should be a solid blue in the area you're in as well, and when you hold a guy you get a Heat notice no matter where you stand.
Kiryu will kick the guy back and forth against the wall.
You'll see some guys arrive under a chandelier and Kiryu will look at it and you will need to hit.
After that you will need to mashthen mashthen mash one final time.
A decent method of getting him down on his knees is by building up Heat, getting him close enough to one of the leg-high planter things, and then grabbing him so you can use a Heat attack near it.
Grab an enemy and do a Heat action near the railings.
This is the only time in the game you can get this.
Rush him and do the Heat Action.
There are items you can use as weapons absolutely everywhere, and while the guys do block and punish quickly it's not hard to get them off.
The only other time you can attempt this is chapter 15 when you have to visit Bantam, the Emoto Clinic, and Stardust to save each of the owners.
There are only one or two moments where you can actually do the Jump Kick due to how there are no Yakuza when Date or Daigo are following you around On a normal playthrough at least, you'd have to avoid every random encounter for a bunch of chapters to have the ability to try that so make sure you save before starting the "Black Thunder" sub story as it's the best moment to go for it.
The boss himself gets defense broken so easy and you can easily grab him in the first phase to get Heat attacks off on him, so this should be no trouble.
The Heat Action itself appears in the third phase when he's got the yellow health bar.
On the second and third floors there's holes in the floor, make sure you grab an enemy and perform a Heat action near these holes to get this one as this is the only time you can get this in the entire game.
When the fight continues to the outside Dojima's widow will throw you a katana.
Now you have to make sure you do all the button prompts correctlymashmashmashmash and he'll be on the ground after it all.
Make sure you run up to him and do the Heat attack, this is your only chance to get this.
In regards to if you are going to get the Dragon Binding for your EX-HARD playthrough +30 defense, it's twice the defense of a Demon Bindingmake sure you take a bunch of damage either in chapter 6 or chapter 8 during the segment.
The Matsuya Beef Bowl restaurant has a breakfast menu that has three extra food items which only shows up when it's morning in Kamuro.
This only happens in chapters 6, 8, and 14.
The problem is in 8 you have to rely on the boss in it to drop your health low enough if you want it in that chapter, and 14 has no enemies for you to fight at all so there's nothing for you to drop your health on to buy it.
Next, make sure you have unlocked the Ryugujo by doing the sub story "Ryugujo" so that you can access the casino.
As you enter the Ryugujo, take a left, go all the way down that hallway, and the door on the right leads you to the casino.
Return to the casino and go play roulette, immediately place a 10,000 chip bet on "1 to 12" and "1 to 18", and make sure you place 1,000 chip bets on all the single numbers of 1 to 12, then any of the overlaps So the line between 1 and 2, the line between 1 and 5 for example, etc until the game starts.
As long as the ball lands on any number 1 through 12 you'll gain anywhere from 130,000 chips to 150,000 chips.
If you don't then just reload your save.
The process to sell all these is a bit tedious, for a single 150,000 chip win it'll take about two or three trips to Ebisuya to exchange them all, and since you can't send them to your storage when you buy them you'll have to walk to the batting cage save point, drop them off in the item storage, and then go back and buy another nine more until your storage can't fit anymore.
Immediately after the fight with his flunkies he'll fight you himself.
He's extremely easy even for a first boss, he never guards, he basically just wanders around constantly shuffling his feet, and in the rare moments he does attack it's basically a really slow combo that you can easily retaliate against.
This boss is kind of a pushover.
He tends to block some attacks, but he usually just leaves himself open to combos, and when he does attack you the hits are very slow which means you can sway out of most of them.
It makes this fight completely trivial as you can sway out of any of your combos that you start and he tries to retaliate against.
You'll fight this boss at the end of chapter 5 as you go through the underground tournament in Purgatory.
If you have played the original Yakuza then you should know this boss' pattern by now, but if you don't then here's the gist of it.
He will constantly run around Kiryu while randomly stopping and waiting half a second before attacking, and most of the attacks you attempt to land he will sway away from like a speed demon.
If you want to risk getting hit you can try for another full combo when he's doing this, but if he does end up going through with an attack he'll do a good chunk of damage and throw you to the ground.
When he does attack it's mainly just a single strong slash that knocks you down or the same six string combo he had in Yakuza which ends in a punch.
Whenever you get the chance to do a Heat attack definitely take it, it does a nice chunk of damage to him as well.
This boss is divided up into three phases, his normal basic attack phase, his pipe wielding phase, and then his strong punch phase.
The first phase is dead simple, just keep mashinghe has no defense against it, you will constantly break his guard, and it decimates his HP.
If you do need to dodge for some reason just sway to a side and immediately start attacking again, this entire first phase is a cakewalk.
The second phase is a bit tougher, a full combo will make him invincible, and mashing square doesn't work anymore.
The best way to go about it is to let him do his pipe attacks and then immediately relatiate with a full combo while backing away after that.
Once the third phase is done he'll start doing wind up punches and he'll be able to avoid most of your attacks.
Ideally you should stick to a simple x4 + strategy as you won't have enough time for a full kick combo.
Sometimes you will also need to tone back to a x3 + combo if you want to be safe.
He's an extremely easy boss, every new area he goes to his pattern remains the same.
If you get close he'll do a heavily telegraphed slash you can just sway backwards from and then do a full combo on him immediately after.
Then he'll slash at the air while invincible and then repeat.
If he puts his sword up and you get close he'll attempt to slash at you, so just wait it out.
In the first and last areas there's a bunch of chairs to work with along with the katanas if you picked them up from the thugs on the bottom floor.
When the fight continues to the outside, Doujima's widow will throw you a katana.
You have to make sure you do all the button prompts correctlymashmashmaxmash and he'll be on the ground after it all at which point you can run up to him and do a Heat attack for massive damage.
You won't get this trophy until the final fight back where you started it.
As long as you don't rush this fight is very manageable, but if you do rush you're going to be getting hit constantly and they deal chunks of damage with each hit.
The best way to do this fight is to only focus on one of the tigers.
They have a leaping attack which they telegraph so you can easily avoid it, and they have a triple combo where they swipe and then do a jump.
You can do a full combo on them at any time once they have done either of these attacks.
If you would like you could also grab one of the spears, but only use the attacks to minimize your chances of getting hit as the combos tend to be dangerous and long.
Once you see them lay down you should run up to them and begin the on-screen prompts, the Tiger Drop does crazy amounts of damage and is needed to learn a Komaki skill down the line.
He will always leave himself open and never blocks, but the problem is that he will randomly choose to attack you with his katana.
You can get a full x4 + combo off before you need to back off and let him attack.
The next time you hit him only hit him with three attacks before backing away again.
He is easily grabbable at any time for some decent damage.
Once you get him down to a yellow bar of health he will go into a permanent Heat mode where he shrugs off all your attacks, it's recommended you begin trying to grab at him if you can, he still uses the same slow moves with his sword so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Rarely he will decide to do a QTE against you and swing his sword, the correct order is,.
In this battle you'll be fighting Terada and four flunkies.
The latter are no problem, they just have a bit of health, the former will be taking potshots at you during the entire thing which makes thing a pain since the gunfire deals a good chunk of health.
Once he's the only one left you can easily just run up behind him and get a full x3 + x2 combo on him.
Occasionally he'll do a QTE on you where he fires into the sky, make sure you press and then to avoid the beams hitting you since they deal chunks of your health.
You're expected to fist fight for this one, but if you grabbed some of the knives or guns on your way up it should make your life easier, though not by much.
If you're going for the punching method Ryuji retaliates against pretty much any combo if you do it from the front, so it's recommended you wait for him to finish up a combo and then sway behind him as it lets you get a full x3 + x2 combo in.
Most of his attacks are two or three hit slow combos, but they hit for very high amounts even with a Demon Binding equipped, so be very careful when he attacks.
There is also a QTE he'll do once in a while where he tackles you to the ground, and you have to dodge his punch then mash.
Once you reach the final health bar Yellow he'll do the same as he did in the fight where he charges up an aura so he can tank all your hits.
The previous method of going behind him will not work anymore, you can still go behind him but you can only get one or two punches in before you have to back off and wait for him again.
When you reach the final sliver of health a QTE will start where Ryuji runs directly at you for a punch.
Press when prompted and you have defeated him.
This will pop up after you see the giant "The end" in the credits.
Make sure you make a clear save file on a separate slot for your next playthrough.
The only difference between the two seems to be that enemies attack slightly faster for a slight bit more damage and have quite a bit more health.
Hopefully you made a clear save file after beating the last playthrough since you can carry it over to this EX-HARD mode.
One thing that would be even better for you to have done is eaten all the food and drank all the alcohol at every restaraunt since it gives you the Dragon Binding which has double the defense of the Demon Binding, but if you haven't or don't want to waste the time then do not sweat it.
If you do want to get the Dragon Binding please refer to section for what is required of you.
Since you beat the previous playthrough you should notice a couple new options in gold on the main menu now, what you want to do is choose "Premium New Game", select the red save file, and select "EX-HARD".
You can also press during any of the fight intros now.
As soon as you get control of Kiryu in Kamuro you should see a clown to your left, talk to him and grab whatever items he has to give you.
If you ever lose the Just Dragon Tonfa from being grabbed or from throwing them he'll give you some more.
He's also located in Soutenbori to the left of the M-Store.
Anything you flub during the interview will disqualify you, and if you don't maintain an eight heart or higher ratio with a girl on the second drink request you will have to reload a previous save.

If you failed any of them you will not be able to do this, they must be finished and have that symbol next to them indicating they're "Complete" rather than "Finished" since Amon won't appear if that's the case, and going into NG+ will not reset sub stories, once they're done they're done for that save.

If you are having trouble encountering Akira don't forget to have gotten the Komaki Parry from the acupuncturist after having defeated Komaki, it's completely random when you will encounter him in the Maximum Grand Prix after that.
Defeating Akira is the only way to make the four Komaki sub stories you gained much earlier in the game complete to actually fight Amon's clan.
After all this mess is done and you have met all the requirements you will be able to encounter each of the Amon brothers, you must beat them in order for the next one to appear.
Before you go after them you should stock up on the following things: The Demon's Binding is the best defensive item you can get in the game prior to NG+ and it gives you +15 Defense.
It can be obtained by going to the Ryugujo's second floor via elevator and straight ahead of you should be a door to your left.
Talk to the first guy and buy 380 points total.
Talk to the second guy and near the bottom of the list you should see the red binding with some black flames coming out of the sides, that's the one you want.
The Bloody Binding is an optional item for you to get, it can be obtained from the Maximum Grand Prix as a random reward for clearing it.
The effect is it essentially drops your defense by half but gain huge damage increases The final Amon brother takes like a third of a health bar if you do a counter just as an example.
The problem is that due to how high the damage all these guys deal you will die in about six or seven hits total The final Amon brother can one-shot you with most of his attacksso it's up to you if you want to bring this along or not.
The High-Tech Shin Guards can only be obtained by defeating the encounter boss "Mysterious Assassins" in front of the Pink Street sign in Kamuro It's that area all the way at the bottom near the bottom-right of the map that has a sign that looks like two legs with heels opening up.
In order to get this boss to appear you're just going to have to fight a bunch of random Yakuza, the exact amount is unknown and seems like it's random, but every 5 or 10 encounters you can go check the area until the encounter is finally there.
What these do is prevent you from getting knocked down when an enemy does a leg sweep which is mandatory against the final Amon as he uses them constantly.
The Hercules Gloves can be bought from the weapon's dealer on the fifth floor of the Ryugujo which you can get to by taking the elevator to the fifth floor and then going through the doors until you see a man in black with a briefcase.
What it does is allow your grabs to last a bit longer so when you do grab an Amon brother they don't instantly shake you off.
The first of the Amon brothers is located on the far right lane of the Champion District.
His fighting style is to attack you with gigantic axes and if he doesn't do that for a while while you're close to him he'll try to sweep your legs.
This fight is very simple due to you having the weapon guard, just constantly hold and wait for his combos to end, then hit him with a x4 combo and repeat until he dies.
Don't attempt to go for ending combos, he will dodge and retaliate.
The second of the Amon brothers is located right behind Serena The area on the bottom-left of the map in Kamuro.
He'll try to keep his distance from you, and if you get close he'll either do dives and then shoot you or he'll do his melee combo.
Most of the fight is going to actually be catching up to him so the melee stuff is pretty rare.
When he's far away, he'll very rarely shine blue and start shooting a bunch, you can sway to the left or right to try and dodge this but you'll still get hit with a couple rounds.
If he's a medium distance away he'll stop, flip around, and fire once, he'll dive and shoot at you, or he'll stand still and fire two shots at you, all of these can be dodged if you wait for half a second before swaying left or right.
When you do get close enough you should just go for a x4 combo and repeat until he dies, you will never hit him with any of the ending combos.
The third of the Amon brothers is located at the Theater Square The area to the right of Mach Bowling, the giant blue area on the far left of Kamuro.
This guy is absolutely laughable and if you die to him you should feel ashamed.
He only has two attacks, the first of which happens if you do a full combo of any kind where he will sway after getting hit Or when you're starting up a ending combo and then will retaliate with a sweeping kick.
As long as you just dodge after you finish a x4 combo you can just keep repeating that until he dies.
His second attack is after like 10 to 20 seconds he'll kneel down and give you ages to get out of the way of his RPG, just run up to him and punch him to knock him out of this.

Now, before you attempt the final Amon brother make sure your entire inventory is decked out in all the healing items you can carry and any three weapons you feel would be good for the upcoming fight.
You first need to go check up on Komaki He's in that alley directly to the right of the Champion District on the far-right of Kamuro.
You will want to make a save at the bottom save point in Kamuro since it's the shortest amount of walking needed to get to a taxi.
Be prepared for the hardest fight in the game, and be prepared to die a lot since he has attacks that hit you for about half your health even with the Demon's Banding equipped, and if you have the Bloody Banding he can one-shot you with certain attacks.
Amon himself has four phases, each health bar you take off he takes out a different weapon and switches the way he attacks.
His first and third phases can easily stun you, the second and fourth not so much.
This will take off about 40-50% of your health on top of whatever he did to stun you in the first place.
For all of his phases if you are going with the Bloody Binding it's recommended to just grab him, knock him down with x3, then when rule of thumb blackjack going to do the kick retaliation you use the counter attack The counter itself requires you to be locked on with before pressing.
This deals the most damage to him, is the safest way to deal with not dying instantly, and most of the phases are cut short.
The downside of this is it's very very easy to misjudge and end up taking a huge chunk of damage from the kick.
Do not waste your Heat using Heat Attacks on him unless you're using a weapon that can get it back within one or two hits.
Heat Attacks deal chip damage to the man at best and are better used to tank the one or two hits when you do make a mistake.
If you constantly keep grabbing him or knocking him down you can delay each of the phases for a bit, you can use this to your advantage with the second phase as he's easy to grab and doesn't attack as much as the other phases.
If you get caught in either of them you will be knocked to the ground and on fire, and it takes ages to get up.
On top of this you will sometimes be considered "Stunned" and Amon will use the Ultimate Essence on you.
The general plan for this phase is to try and grab him, normal punching is somewhat risky as he can choose to retaliate with a combo of his at any moment, he really likes to sway from your hits, and back off when he tries to get up as he'll go for his usual kick.
Doing full combos with a finish is very hit or miss and not recommended.
All the shots are basically like the grenades earlier but do less damage.
They also "follow" you for a bit to the sides when you try dodging them.
This is a much easier phase, if you have Heat you can use the Komaki Shot Stopper when you knock him down to bypass his sweep as he's getting up.
He will constantly provide chances for you to just hit him in the back.
He's still very fast though, so do not let your guard down despite how calm he is in this phase.
This is basically the second phase but with many more opportunities to attack him as he only usually does the gunshot attacks, he's very easy to grab, he doesn't punch often but when he does he does hit hard, and he'll mainly just try to keep his distance.
Do not try to block as it goes through your guard.
He generally just keeps trying to do the tonfa-esque rapid slashing around him like in phase 3, so just punish him as soon as he gets out of the whole thing, just be careful getting close when he's ending it as the range for the attack extends to his back and farther than you would expect.
The phase itself isn't too hard due to the amount of times he spams, so when you get an in just grab him and knock him down then repeat.
Just follow the on-screen prompts and you'll get it once the battle ends.
You can get this as early as the second or third chapter if you just fight the random Yakuza around town.
You need to do this for three different enemies and then find the longest weapon in the field Usually it's going to be a sign of some sort and run in a circle until everyone groups together, attack, and then hope for the best.
The range on even the biggest weapons is extremely short, so unless the three enemies are basically hugging you probably won't hit all three of them most of the time.
If you're on HARD for your first playthrough this is going to be quite tough as the enemies love to both group together and never do it when you need it at the same time.
The early game has more than 30+ random overworld fights you can go through before you exhaust the supply of Yakuza until the end of the game, so it's best to do this early on as you're probably going to be grinding food out anyway, and it's best to attempt this when you need to take a lot of damage.
Something to note is that if an enemy dies from one hit but then you immediately follow up with a second hit that kills the other two and also hits the third one that is about to fall to the ground it seems to count that for the trophy.
The first area you can try this in is the Omi Alliance HQ in chapter 3, right after you reach the top and have the meeting.
You have to run down the whole way, all the while getting attacked by enemies that have a decent amount of health but aren't too strong or fast.
There are more than enough enemies to cover this trophy here, just be careful of the sofa guys as you can only punch them once or twice before having to back off and they have huge range on top of invincibility frames while getting hit.
This is the worst of the two methods, but if you want this early by all means give it a try.
The second area you can try this is in in chapter 6, directly after you beat up the 16-bit gang members in front of the Amano Building but before you can actually go in it for the story.
You'll be tasked with going to see their boss to get the key to the building, it's recommended you make a save at the Millenium Tower save point right before you go see their boss, he's behind Kotobuki Pharmacy.
In this fight you'll have the two main guys and then a bunch of flunkies who run in who die in two normal punches.
As long as you don't defeat either of the two main guys the flunkies will infinitely respawn.
I don't recommend grabbing any of the items on the ground as it's easy to accidentally hit the guy Kaoru isn't distracting and the guy following you loves to make giant leaps and headbutts so there's a high chance to get hit normally.
Then just get into random battles and if you come out unscathed save again until you get this one.
The exact amount isn't known so you can't really guess when you'll encounter one, but if you cleared out every random Yakuza member you could early on in the game you should easily run into one of these guys around chapter 4 or 5.
If you want to know the exact locations of each of them please refer to the Section 9.
This is better left until chapter 16 before you even bother as most of the tournaments you can enter aren't even unlocked until as late as 13, and you really need Kiryu's full array of attacks to deal with a lot of the things the enemies throw at you.
For this trophy you only need to beat each tournament that's in the game at least once, however the strategies for certain enemies and how to unlock certain characters will also be listed in this guide as a reference for other trophies to look back to.
When fighting enemies that continuously block and don't have a guard break from non-finisher attacks The shattering blue mirror thing and don't retaliate immediately, if you do six hits total to their block, anything that happens on the seventh hit Such as the attacks of the x3 + x2 combo will go through and deal damage.
Everyone here is a pushover, you should be easily able to deal with these guys with no problem.
When you have to go after Devil Tsuji for the Komaki skills he may seem tough but if you just do four attacks and immediately sway after you see the kick land you can chain him indefinitely.
Everyone you fight will barely let a hit or two get in before they either retaliate, and two of them specifically will retaliate in very painful ways, often taking off huge chunks of your health off in any one attack.
If you ever let him gain Heat His head will glow blueish then he gains combos that deal an eighth of your total health that you can't escape, so do your best to never stop blocking if you can.
If you fight the guy with the blood red pants then all you need to keep in mind is attack him two or three times with a attack and sway backwards immediately, then repeat.
Same amount of damage dealt, exact same combos for all the different ones.
These guys are tanks, but they can be grabbed easily and doing finishers on them is relatively easy.
Be careful when you do go for finishers, however, since it's very easy to overshoot an enemy and end up on the sides on fire.
Quite an easy one, the goal is to get your Heat up to grab the enemy, get near the nail walls, and use the Heat attack neat it for massive damage.
It's the same kind of deal as the Lightning Grand Prix where you should avoid the walls but without the slow electrocution to bug you.
Most of the enemies just block occasionally or just sway after a couple hits and tank hits when their health drops to half.
At the start you'll be asked what kind of weapon you want.
It's recommended to take the Katana as it's very fast, does heavy amounts of damage, and builds Heat extremely quickly.
Stay away from the Polearm as the main squares are very very slow and don't built Heat easily, it takes three bars of Heat to use its special if you have the White Lotus Polearm Training, and the attack is its only strong one but the enemies love to block or dodge it making it take forever.
If you encounter the man with the giant battleaxe and looks like a viking you fought in the story mode or the one giant guy with a scythe, make sure you only attack a single time before swaying to their side.
They hit for crazy amounts every hit, tank rule of thumb blackjack hits, and have huge range.
Later on when going for the Komaki skills you'll have to fight Majima and Kamiyama The nerdy video guy you helped out in a sub storyboth can be tough unless you know their specific strategies.
For Majima the strategy to fight him is the same ashowever you have to adjust your timing to be slightly earlier after the combos when you go for a hit.
Once you do a full three combo with your katana he will fall down and immediately make a dash for you, when you see him get near you you need to press.
Just repeat this until he dies.
Kamiyama is a different beast, he acts like Majima but he can also sweep at your feet for a bunch of damage or just do massive spam of his tonfas.
The way you should handle this fight is if he is definitely open to an attack you attack him with a single slash and back off.
For the rest of the fight you should to build up Heat to use when he stops one of his combos.
If you see him stop moving after a combo and just stand for half a second he's going to sweep, so be careful of that one.
You're going to have some trouble here, it seems like this is the kind of tournament where the enemies have a lot of health, have very little ways to actually hit them, have a bunch of invincibility frames in their attacks, and love to dodge.
The only advice that can really be given is to be patient, a lot of the fights you get usually have one or two combos you can repeat to get some decent damage in.
All these enemies block, or do the thing where you hit twice and they suddenly retaliate with an attack as they're invincible and shrug off everything.
There are also a lot of enemies who you punch twice and they will do a jump kick attack.
It's easy to bait this so you get them to kick and then block it, at which point you gain about two Heat bars and this can be rule of thumb blackjack until you max the bar out, at which point you can just spam attacks due to one of the skills you have that bypasses their blocking and retaliation.
This is a tournament against the martial artists and boxers who like to only take two hits and then sway, or just constantly block.
Just use the same strategies as before, though getting full Heat to spam attacks really doesn't work against these guys.
Most of these guys are the kind who like to either just tank all your hits without guarding and then go into an infinite stamina mode half way through their health, or they just counter and attack fast.
They also hit pretty hard with most of their attacks.
Be careful of the one guy in the grey suit, he counters you for a bunch of damage if his hands are in a low posture, so make sure you grab him when he does that, otherwise you can get about a full combo before he starts doing that again.
There's very few enemies in this one, you'll mainly fight the blue gi guy again Can be easily cheesed if you do a full x4 attack, sway to his side, do it two more times, and when you see his hands kind of punch very softly you can just mash for the rest of the fightthe one Jingweon hitman who has the blackish-white guard, and a man in a white gi who acts exactly like the grey suit man in the Magnum Force Grand Prix.
If you have fought every single fighter from 3 all the way to 51 and won against each one at least once you should be able to fight Komaki.
You can tell that you'll fight him if the second character you fight is the man in the white gi, as the third one will be Komaki himself.
Thankfully, the fight itself is very easy once you understand how to actually fight Komaki.
Komaki has all of Kiryu's moves, and thanks to that you should know how the main + combos work in regards to timing.
Alongside this Komaki tends to get a bit grabby, so as long as you are a decent amount of distance away from Komaki he will either do a charging headbutt or go into a proper combo.
What you want to be doing is always holding unless Komaki gets within grabbing distance, then you should just sway away and guard again.
When he attacks you while you're guarding with one of the main + combos this is your chance to actually deal some damage to him, you'll want to wait until the final attack of whatever combo he's using is about to come out and immediately retaliate with when you're locked onto him with.
It's not very easy to manage the parry, but once you get the hang of it you will shave off chunks of Komaki's health.
Whatever you do do not just randomly grab or punch, Komaki is extremely fast at dodging the grabs, and he will counter almost all of your normal attacks for huge chunks of health.
Just keep your distance, guard, and parry when he's finishing up a combo and you should have this in no time.
Now, the 1 of the underground tournaments is Akira Yamaoka and you need to beat him to since beating him is the only way to finish the four Komaki sub stories.
You can visit that trophy for more on how to actually unlock this character, we will only talk about how to fight him here.
Akira is a man dressed in a white tuxedo and fights exactly like Komaki which means he uses the same skills as you again.
As before, keep your distance, don't attack at all as you just get countered, he's very fast, and the only way to reliably hurt him is to guard and retaliate with the parry when he's finishing up a combo.
Starting with chapter 15 Yakuza mobs will start respawning, if you did the "Ryugujo" sub story then you can go there It's the blue area next to the batting cages at the top of Kamuroget to the fifth floor from the elevator, and then run through the maze of hallways until you reach the weapons dealer.
When you equip this photograph it will cause every street to spawn a Yakuza mob for you to fight, each one should give you about 1 to 2 EXP if you clear everyone out with a Heat attack.
This is pretty much the fastest way to level, just run around encountering everything and using Heat attacks on everyone for that extra bit of EXP.
If you would like to shake up the monotony you could also enter the underground tournament, however the EXP you get from that is much slower than random Yakuza for more work.
Weapon finishers may or may not count for this, it's up in the air.
When you're on the far right bridge in Soutenbori or on the lower paths in the center of the map and get into a fight you'll notice that there's a bunch of railings next to the river.
Grab someone, walk over to the railings, and then use a Heat Attack to throw them off killing them instantly.
It's unknown if Heat attacks that break items count toward the tally or if it counts towards when you do it on the final enemy of a battle, or if you just have to break them through regular attacks.
It's also unknown if items like grenades, baseballs, guns, or anything thrown count toward the tally either.
When looking at the English trophies for the latter games this may be rule of thumb blackjack to destroying items you pick up in battles, not ones you take in with you.

The Komaki Parry will be the only difficult part of this trophy, and the most time consuming due to how random the encounters are.

Just find a Yakuza member, run in front of them, then run away and zone out, turn around, and repeat.
You will most likely just get this normally playing through the game.
As soon as you enter the Ryugujo you can take a left, go down all the way, and the door on your right will take you into the casino.
At the far end of the hall to your right is a bunny girl who exchanges money for chips.
You need to play the three games and win once in each of them.
Baccarat is very simple.
Two people get hands, face cards are 0s, all other cards count up to 9 and then roll over back to 1 if they hit 10.
Each player draws one card, and whoever has the highest amount at the end wins.
You just bid on whoever will win at the start and hope they win.

There are also the four directions of the wind, these work like exactly the dragon tiles, however, you will only get a bonus from whatever wind state you're in at the time, the others will still work as tiles, you just get no bonus from them in the end.
The Japanese number tiles are easy to understand once you know what the numbers are, however, they are heavily stylized so you'll need to adjust to how they look.
Just focus at the top of the tile, not the giant red bit underneath.
If you're aiming for a certain grouping and you notice two or three of the same tile you need have already been thrown away it's better to readjust your strategy for making a sequential triple rather than being dead set on getting the one or two left in the deck.
The chance you can get an extra one is low compared to any of the three main tile types and these don't seem to work as a double when trying to declare a win.
The four pair you gain leaves you at a huge disadvantage of needing two 2 pairs in your hand along with 2 triples to win with it.
Make sure you keep your eye out for things like this in your hand so you don't discard recklessly.
You will probably get frustrated when you have a hand that looks correct that just will not be considered a win despite being four sequentials and a double, or four triples and a double, this is because there's some sort of specific way that hands have to be made on top of all this mess.
Again, if you want to go into more detail and learn all the nuances of the game be my guest, however, this basic knowledge is enough to at least get you a single win after hours of learning and trying.
Videos must be obtained either from Coin Lockers or sub stories, this will easily be gotten over the normal course of the game.
Please refer to the section for the exact method if you want to get this earlier than that trophy.
For YF6 all you need to do is from every attack an enemy does and immediately retaliate with.
You can just dodge and immediately retaliate against it if you're quick enough.
If you ever see an enemy dodge at all make sure you dodge as well, and if you see them do a leap make sure you wait half a second before dodging and retaliating.
Keep in mind that if you get hit as you're attacking you take double damage, so be careful when you actually do your attack since it's very easy to get retaliated against when an enemy does the basic triple slash due to how fast their recovery is on it.
For the UFO Catcher it's the exact same as the first game.
On the horizontal movement just overshoot where the lit light would be on the doll you want since it swings back a slight bit when you stop, and on the vertical you should undershoot where the doll is while aiming for the head, not the body.
Bowling is thankfully very easy to do, just follow these simple instructions.
Talk to the man at the counter and just choose the first option to have the easiest time with this.

Each girl takes about half an hour to an hour to finish up unless you're rushing things, and there's ten of them.
There's also the time you have to sit around waiting for e-mails to arrive.
For reference, Jewel took about 2 hours and 40 minutes to get through completely, and Shine took about three and a half hours.
Make sure you equip both these items as they give you half a heart on your visits starting from the second session and prevent you from encountering a bunch of Yakuza groups which could impede getting to the girl for your date.
You unlock the pictures after you complete a girl's sub story, so when you get the email from the girl with her picture attached she's counted towards the trophy and the in-game reward tally.
The trophy will not pop until you get the final e-mail with the picture attachment from Nana.
It's recommended you do each girl one at a time to make things easier on yourself.
This is if you want to give the girl a present, always choose the bottom option.

If you're on your first or second visit pick the second option, on your third and fourth just pick the first option.
You will get emails after 3 hearts, 6 ½ hearts, and 9 hearts.
Sometimes you will also get an email if you hit slightly below those marks, but those are not date emails.
If the girl doesn't appear in the usual spot tha means it was just a random one because you didn't hit the required hearts for the next date.
You can usually get 4 hearts on your first session if you answer every question perfectly and extend the session without buying any of the food or drinks that give hearts.
After that you can get 2 ½ hearts each session if you answer each question perfectly and go into each session wearing the items without extending the session.
Be careful since one or two girls like to have questions that give you 0 net gain, so you might have to extend more than once.
It's recommended you just sit in a store right next to the clubs as time will pass even if you're standing still unlike when outside When Kiryu stands still outside for about 10 seconds he will take out a cigarette, this will prevent you from getting any mail at all.
After the first e-mail 3 hearts you can go visit the girl again right after, this time you will get the option to give her a present and if you're wearing the recommended items she'll also give rule of thumb blackjack some hearts.
Once you get to six and a half hearts she'll send you another e-mail.
This time she wants to meet up with you, so go to the date spot and pick the right choices.
After the date you'll want to go to the club once again and pick her, make sure you end up with at least 9 hearts on this round.
Once you have at least 9 hearts go wait for the last e-mail, this one will take at least two minutes or more before it actually appears, so don't fret.
You will have to meet up with the woman again, so do this again, make the right choices, and she'll forcibly take you to the club for your final session.
Answer the questions, and when you finish with 10 hearts on this fourth meet up she'll tell you to meet her in a spot for her sub story.
The following will be a guide on each girl's choices after you do the second, third, and fourth visits.

Her second hiding place is inside the Ryugujo To the right of the batting cage, the right-most blue area at the top of the map inside the casino When you enter, turn to the left, head down all the way, and enter the door to the right.
Talk to the three bunny girls there, then exit the entire building and she'll be right in front of you.
For the final part you need to run to the Theater Square The large empty area in the left-center of the map, right next to where you start all the dates.
Talk to the chick right next to the save point, then you need to run all the way up and talk to the santa girl, then head down and to the right near the Club Sega and there should be a highschool girl there, talk to her.
After the chat, go to one of the main streets on either side of the park and you'll get an e-mail.
Read it, then head to the batting cages at the top of the map, they're the blue area with the save point next to it.
Win or lose at either game, it doesn't matter.
Once you read it, head to Komian It's the tiny yellow store south-east of the Coin Lockers, directly south of the Don Quixote and talk to Madoka.
After the fight you'll need to go wait for another email to arrive, and once it comes and you read it you need to head to Gandhara It's the store directly under Prime.
This woman is very easy to please as most of her questions give you a heart or a heart and a half, so if you get lucky you won't need to extend any of the sessions.
Read the email then go across the bridge on the left and take the stairs down on the northern side of the bridge.
About a fourth of the way you should see Ayano, talk to her and the stalker.
Read it, then run down and a random guy wearing an olive jacket in front of Prime will flag you down to talk to you.
After chatting to him, run sound and in the corner you should see a woman you can talk to, talk to her.
Once she's done talking head to your west until you see Nana near the black car and talk to her.
Make sure you have the 10 million on you when you do this.
Choose the first option.
